The Moment That Changes Everything

One knee. One ring. One breathless second of "yes." And it only happens once.

There's no redo on a proposal. You get one chance to capture the look on their face — the surprise, the tears, the laughter, the moment everything shifts. That's why proposal photography is my absolute favourite thing to shoot, and it's what Lumens & Grace Photography is known for.

My approach is simple: I arrive early, I find the perfect vantage point, and I stay completely out of sight until the moment has passed. You won't have to worry about where to stand, whether I'm ready, or whether the shot will be there. I'll have scouted the location with you beforehand, planned the timing, and positioned myself so that when you drop to one knee, every emotion is captured — without either of you even noticing I'm there.

After the "yes," the real magic begins. The first embrace, the ring going on, the stunned realisation that this is actually happening. I stay to capture all of it — candid, unposed, and completely real.

A man proposing marriage to a woman on a city street, with buildings made of red bricks and a lamppost in the background.
A woman is kneeling on one knee, holding a man's face gently and smiling at him in an outdoor park. The man is on one knee, holding the woman's face with both hands and gazing up at her, smiling. There are other people in the background, some watching and smiling, dressed warmly for cold weather.

We had a great experience with Adrian as he helped capture a very special surprise engagement on Vennel lane in Edinburgh.

Adrian couldn't do enough in regards to advising best time of day, location etc and when it came to the day he was in position in plenty of time to capture the shot.

The photos were amazing, what I'd had in my mind Adrian helped to make a reality. We can't thank him enough for making a special moment everlasting.
